Hov’s first verse is nothing short of iconic. Everything from the opening line “When the remys in the system..” to the beat down to the last bar, Hov completely floats on this track. Jay was definitely in his prime. Although his artistry and technique have improved over the years, there’s something undeniably special about this era. It’s evident that the Rocafella days brought out the best in his raps.
