Fresh off the last edition, we will explore a few more singers who took to the mic and spit some hot verses. Some created diss tracks, while others showed their ability to rap at the highest level in the studio. Let’s explore these songs below.

Tory Lanez – Don Queen

Tory was embroiled in a feud with Joyner Lucas at the time of this recording. The two artists were exchanging diss tracks, with Don Q later dropping “Im Not Joyner,” delivering a harsh diss to Tory. In response, Tory retaliated with a record that effectively killed any possibility of a comeback. It’s crazy how this gets left out when discussing some of the greatest diss tracks of all time. It definitely ranks among the most memorable.

Chris Brown – Weakest Link

Chris shocked the world when he released his diss track aimed at Quavo, delivering this scathing diss track. His flow would’ve made it hard for a lyrical rapper to come back against. So it’s no wonder that Quavo fell short. Chris should definitely rap on beats like this more in the future.

Trey Songz – F*ckin Problems Freestyle

Back in the early to mid 2000s, artists often freestyling over other rappers beats. Trey showcased his versatility beyond singing by delivering a remarkable verse on ASAP Rocky’s “F*ckin Problems”. His verse was so impressive that it could have easily been on the original track.

Brandy – First Class Freestyle

This is a secret that very few have known until recently, but Brandy is a monster on the mic. It kind of feels like someone purposely made her stay in the R&B lane, but she definitely needs to rap more often. Her flow and cadence on this track granted her a BET Awards performance. She will always have a legendary catalog, but it could be even more legendary if she delved into more rap songs.

Brandy – Rap Battle

It’s no surprise that Brandy teamed up with Hip Hop legend Eve to go back and forth on this track. Surprisingly, she more than holds her own and drops verses that seamlessly blend the influence of the Golden Era with a modern twist. We can only hope for an EP or something more to come in the future.
